What can players see on my league's website?

Turn on your league's public website, share its link, and learn what players can see without an account.

Your league can have a public website with its schedule, standings, player stats and teams. Anyone with the link can open it, with no account and no registration.

This is for league managers and assistants. The website appears once you choose a subdomain for your league.

Step 1: Open your league Profile

  1. On desktop, click Settings in the league sidebar. In the app, open the menu, tap League Settings, then tap General.

  2. Click or tap Profile.

Step 2: Choose a subdomain

The subdomain becomes your website's address: https://your-subdomain.benchapp.site. It saves as soon as you leave the field. There is no Save button.

  1. Under Subdomain, enter a name for your league, like lakeshore-hockey. Use at least 3 lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens.

  2. Click or tap View site to open your website.

Tip: If you change the subdomain later, links with the old one stop working. Share the new link with your players.

Step 3: Share the link

  1. Copy the website address from your browser's address bar.

  2. Send it to your players by email, text or social media, or post it on your league's own site.

What players see on the website

Visitors don't need to log in or register. The website is view-only and has these pages:

  • Home: upcoming games under Coming up and recent results under Latest scores.

  • Standings: each division's standings table.

  • Schedule: every game in a list or a calendar. Click a game to see its details and past matchups.

  • Stats: player stats for the season, grouped by division and team.

  • Teams: every team by division. Each team page shows its managers and its upcoming and past games.

Visitors can pick a season, filter by division and search for a team or a player. They can also send a message to a team's manager with the Contact button on the team page. The manager's email address isn't shown.

What players need the BenchApp app for

The website doesn't show team rosters, and players can't do anything on it beyond viewing and contacting a manager. To set their attendance, chat with their team and get notifications, players use the BenchApp app or benchapp.com with their own account. Players create an account when they register for your league or accept an invite to a team.

Tip: The website has no calendar subscription. Players on a team can subscribe to their team's calendar from the BenchApp app. See the guide "Can I subscribe to my team's calendar?"
