Auto Waitlist helps keep pickup games full. When an event is full and someone checks OUT, BenchApp can help invite the next player so you are not chasing replacements manually.
👑 This feature requires BenchApp PRO. Auto Waitlist is especially helpful for busy pickup games, drop-ins, and spare-heavy teams.
Step 1: Open Auto Waitlist settings
Go to Team Settings.
Open Attendance & Reminders.
Find Auto Waitlist in the Waitlist section.
Step 2: Choose how spots should be filled
Turn off Auto Waitlist: managers manually move or invite players from the waitlist.
Automatically accept players from top of waitlist: BenchApp invites the next eligible player when a spot opens.
Invite all waitlisted players; first to accept is checked in: BenchApp invites everyone on the waitlist, and the first player to accept gets the spot.
Step 3: Make sure the event has a max
Auto Waitlist works after an event reaches its maximum player or goalie limit. Set a default maximum in Team Settings → Events, or adjust the limit on the individual event.
Step 4: Let BenchApp fill the open spot
When someone checks OUT of a full event, BenchApp uses your Auto Waitlist setting to decide what happens next.
