Use import when your teams or players are already in BenchApp from an earlier season, or in a spreadsheet. It saves adding everyone one at a time.
This is for league managers. Everything is imported into the season you have selected, so switch into your league from the team switcher and check the season first.
Step 1: Open Import Teams
Go to Teams.
On the web, click Import Teams. In the app, tap ⋯, then Import Teams.
Step 2: Choose teams from previous seasons
Teams are grouped by season, newest first. Each team shows how many players it has.
Check the teams you want. Check a season's name to select every team in it.
Use Search to find a team by name or season.
Click Import Teams (web) or tap Import (app). The button shows how many teams you picked.
Tip: Players on those teams are imported too. Teams already in this season with the same name and division are left out of the list.
Step 3: Add players to one team
Go to Teams and click or tap a team to open its Roster.
Click Add Players (web) or tap + (app).
Choose Add from a Previous Season to pick players from this team's earlier league seasons, or Import Players to upload a CSV or Excel file.
Step 4: Review and import players
For Add from a Previous Season, select the players you want. You can change a player's class before importing. Players already on the roster are marked Already on roster.
Confirm with Import.
For Import Players, download the template, fill it in and upload it. It works the same as a team roster import.
Tip: Your league plan sets how many teams you can have. If you've reached the limit, BenchApp shows a warning instead of importing.
