Use this guide when your name is wrong somewhere in BenchApp — a typo, a manager who entered it for you, or a nickname you'd rather go by on one team.
There are two names, and they're changed in different places. The name your team sees on the roster, schedule and attendance lists is set per team, so you can be "Benny" on one team and "Ben Chapp" on another. Your account name is only shown in public Chatter rooms.
Step 1: Change the name your team sees
This is the name on your team's roster, schedule and attendance lists. Set it separately for each team you're on.
Go to Account, then Teams, and choose the team.
Under Team Details, choose Alias.
Type the name you want on this team. It saves when you leave the field — there is no separate Save button.
Step 2: Change your account name
Only needed if you want a different name in public Chatter rooms and on Finder — it doesn't change what your teams see.
Go to Account and click or tap your name at the top of the page.
Under Contact, choose Name, Phone, Zip/Postal.
Edit the Name field. It saves when you leave the field.
Tip: Changed your account name but your teammates still see the old one? That's the team alias — go back to Step 1.
